This grand event will also concurrently celebrate the 6th Anniversary of the Association's Founding.
The event is Guided By the Ministry of the Interior, the Ministry of Environment, and the Taipei City Government. It is Organized By the Chinese Culture and Education Innovation Association (CCEIA), with Co-organizers including the Chung-Hua Airports Council, the ShenGeng Cultural and Education Foundation, and other units.
The forum is centered on United Nations Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) 11: Make cities and human settlements inclusive, safe, resilient and sustainable. It will focus on realizing the vision of sustainable cities and communities in daily life and industry amidst the trend of the low-carbon economy.
The forum has invited influential speakers and experts from both industry and academia to participate:
Mr.Hsu Yu, Chairman of Yamushroom Technology Co., Ltd., will deliver a keynote speech on "Symbiosis and Sustainable Development in Remote Villages and Indigenous Communities."
Mr.Ho Wen-Hsiung, former staff member at the Institute for Information Industry and Taipei National University of the Arts, will conduct a musical appreciation session titled "Classical Music as the Inspiration for Technological Civilization: Life and Industry in the Low-Carbon Economy."
Through this industry-academia exchange, the forum aims to bring diverse perspectives and inject new thinking into the development of sustainable cities and communities.
Notably, the event will feature a live online connection to facilitate the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) between the Association and Nancy Martinez, Founder of Ibagari Chocolate and a recipient of the UN Women Business Hero Award. This partnership aims to deepen the integration of international cooperation and local sustainable practices.
Ms.Martinez has achieved remarkable success in the cocoa industry: In 2015, her work was recognized with the 1st place ranking for Central America and the Caribbean at the Paris International Cocoa Awards, and 9th place globally. In 2021, she won the Girl Boss Women Entrepreneur Competition and has been repeatedly featured in Forbes Central America's Top 100 Most Influential Women. In 2023, she received the prestigious Women Business Hero honor from the International Organisation of Employers (IOE). Her outstanding performance in industry transformation, social inclusion, and systemic innovation will make her a vital international partner for the Association in deepening sustainable exchange.
During the same session, Ms.Ko Min-Chung, CEO of Ibagari Chocolate's Asia Distributor, is also invited to deliver remarks. She will share the opportunities and challenges for the cocoa industry's sustainability in the Asian market. She points out that by promoting fair trade and low-carbon manufacturing processes locally, the cocoa industry can not only deliver consumer health benefits and cultural value but also serve as a bridge connecting Asia and Central America, thereby enhancing the practice of international sustainable cooperation.
Following the forum, the 3rd Chairman Inauguration Ceremony will be held. Founding Chairman Mr.Ian Hsieh will officially hand over the leadership to the New Chairman, Mr.Sean Sun, with Mr.Atlas Yang taking the role of Secretary-General. Both are young leaders under the age of 40, symbolizing the Association's entry into a new phase defined by youthfulness and innovation.
Furthermore, the Association is simultaneously engaging the formidable intellect of post-90s leader Ms. Chi Yi-Jung to join its think tank team as a Strategy Advisor. This move not only demonstrates the Association's high regard for youth professionalism and creativity but also signifies that new-generation knowledge will be directly integrated into the Association’s decision-making process, helping to forge new paths for cross-disciplinary cooperation and sustainable development.
Ms. Chi Yi-Jung, the Association's New Strategy Advisor and post-90s youth representative, stated:
"Sustainable development is not just a slogan for policy or industry; it is a shared responsibility across generations. The younger generation possesses digital thinking and cross-disciplinary integration capabilities. I hope to inject this innovative energy into the Association's think tank operations, assisting the Association in finding more forward-looking and practical strategic solutions for international connectivity, social innovation, and low-carbon transition."
